Science Discussion
Due to the low STARR scores in schools, the school board has decided that science will not be taught until the 5th grade, the first year it will be tested. The reasoning is that the students will have the science content fresh on their minds and the earlier grades should just emphasize reading and math. You are on the district science committee that is to present the school board with reasons why science SHOULD be taught at all grade levels. Create a postion paper that is a presuasive argument to include science in the K-4 curriculum. Use topics from your textbook to support your argument.
