This project will aim at developing an E-commerce web site for organising various types of events. The web site will give the user the opportunity to organise their own party/event starting from choosing a venue, the theme of the party, the caterers, etc. It will also provide a web service to get in touch with experienced event organisers who can provide packages of services to a reasonable price. Event organising is a very popular area currently, including all type of events, such as conferences, live events (like concerts, catwalks, etc.), weddings, birthdays, children parties, etc. but it does not have a strong web presence. Hence, E-commerce web site for event organising would be very useful for both the people who would like to plan an event and organise every single part of it and for the event organisers/party planners who can provide their services online and advertise their company.
The aim of this project is to develop an E-commerce web site for event organising providing mainstream web services, such as planning the event (scheduler), choosing a venue, choosing caterers, flowers and other features, providing music band and singers, if required, contacting professional event planners if necessary, etc. The web services need to be designed for various user groups, such as members of the public, event planners, public organisations, business companies, etc. Electronic payment system should be provided and the price lists should be designed according to the user groups. Therefore, the aim is to develop a fully functional web portal that is designed to work well on all screens and devices using advanced internet technologies.

The following steps will be required for the successful completion of the project:
-Get acquainted with the similar existing web sites and the services they provide.
-Identify what kind of web services would be necessary for the e-commerce web site you are designing (consider interviewing the different user groups and design questionnaires).
-Establish the user requirements based on the interviews and the research of state-of-the-art.
-Design the web site and the selected services as a prototype.
-Evaluation of the web site prototype (consider expert reviews and interviews with representatives of different user groups).
-Recommendations for further development.
