the lab consist of 2 parts:
1)Breathing Parameters at Rest and After Exercise
2)The Electrocardiogram and Heart Sounds
you need to write Introduction that includes the following information
1)Relevant background including literature/citations that suggest a rational hypothesis.
2)State the hypothesis and the rationale behind the measurements made.(It was hypothesized that after a short period of physical exertion, an increase in the amplitudes of all
three waveform peaks as well as an elevated heart
rate would be observed. In addition, the physiological
effects of the exercise would cause both the quiet and
forced respiratory cycles to increase the amount of air
inspired and expired. Due to an increased demand for
oxygen, the breath rate would also increase.)
3) Do you expect a correlation between the heart rate and breathing at rest vs exercise?
4)Include a brief description of the working of the ECG cable and the spirometer.
