DescriptionThe book, You Can’t Be Neutral on a Moving Train by historian Howard Zinn, investigated many significant events and themes associated with mid-twentieth century history, including Civil Rights and the Vietnam War. When thinking about this memoir, please respond to the following:Zinn once said, “Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.” Using evidence from the book, how did he demonstrate this concept from his own experiences?
Zinn was a controversial historian because he analyzed history different than many of his peers by focusing on “history from below.” Using specific examples from the book, how does the historian’s perspective influence the presentation of history to an audience?
You must address both of the above bullet points in your paper. Your thesis statement must address both themes.
