Read at least five of these articles (they’re mostly quite short).Why is the phrase “political correctness run amok” so commonplace? Many of the articles if not most will be about race (or, in the case of the Confederate flag, whether or not it is a racial issue). Write THREE pages, double-spaced about what the term “political correctness run amok” means in a broad sense. Look at the following issues:1) What does “political correctness” mean? Why does it exist?
2) What is wrong with political correctness that is has “run amok?”
3) How do we know it has “run amok?”
4) Who is the audience for these arguments?
5) What are the stakes of these arguments—what stands to be lost or won if political correctness continues to “run amok?”
6) Who are the good guys and bad guys in the world these articles are articulating.
