that you will write about in the future. This is a public relations project plan. So your outline is just about what the project will look like. All you need to do is
list some key points that the essay will be about.
An easy example is, find all the information you need for an essay but instead writing it just list some key point you will write about.
Here is the project you need the outline for.For the first part of the summative assessment in this course, you will utilize the four-step process in researching the
field of public relations and planning the development of a public relations presentation. This research will encompass best practices in the field of public relations
as well as key ethical considerations of the field. The plan for your presentation will discuss how these resources will be incorporated and how the presentation will
be developed for the given audience.In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
• Determine an approach to addressing ethical issues in public relations supported by the professional ethics code in public relations
• Develop engaging work appropriate to the field of public relations that accurately reflects AP writing style and best practices
• Utilize the four-step public relations process for informing the development of public relations project
Example.
Imagine that you have joined a start-up organization or small business as its public relations intern. As part of your responsibilities, your supervisor has asked you
to assist in the education of the organization. You are responsible for developing a presentation that provides an overview of public relations, dispels myths about
the field, and promotes the modern-day function of PR. This type of “PR 101” presentation is often included in the on-boarding of new employees and is given to
marketing teams at organizations, as well as to international audiences as PR continues to spread across the globe with greater acceptance.
You will then plan how you will develop your presentation, speaking to how your research on ethics and best practices will be incorporated and how the given audience
will be considered in developing the presentation.Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed: II. Planning: For this part of the summative
assessment, you will perform the second step of the four-step public relations process: planning.
You will outline your presentation regarding the history of public relations and how it exists today.
You will also explain how your presentation will be developed in regards to the audience you are presenting to.
A. Create an outline for your presentation that follows the four-step public relations process.
B. Explain how your presentation will incorporate previous research on ethics and best practices in developing your presentation.
For example, what elements of your research will you include to support your historical overview?
What elements of your research will you include to support your perspective on modern public relations?
C. Explain how you will develop your presentation appropriately for the audience you are presenting to.
