Q A : Find a painting from the Mughal section.
I choice Title : “ Akbar and ‘Abd al-Rahim, from the Akbarnama ( Book of Akbar )
Mughal period: ( 1526 – 1857 )

a. First write down the panting’s information (Title, material, size, etc.)
b. Describe the contents of the painting. (You may have to do research on the Internet to describe the contents).
c. Describe the style of the painting: color (vivid, muted), space (2nd or 3rd), sources of the style (China, India, Europe…) and line (heavy use of line, more
gradated color instead of heavy outlines).
d. Originally, how was this image used and where was it found? Was it inside an album, used to entertain through storytelling at a coffee shop? Where is it now
and how has the appreciation of this painting changed from its original location to its present state as a museological object?
