Essay Question Much research, including research done by the Journalism department at Cardiff University commissioned by Nick Davies of the Guardian, has shown that much of the news originates from PR sources. How does Davies (2008) explain this influence of PR on journalism? What is the Medialens (2008) critique of Davies’ explanation and their alternative explanation? What do you think of Davies’ explanation, the Medialens critique and their alternative explanation? How would you explain the influence of PR on journalism? Write an essay in answer to these questions, you will need to use topics, theories and concepts taught on the module that you think are relevant.
