There are numerous examples of individuals leading change, whether political leaders such as a country’s president or leaders within organizations. Sometimes these individuals serve as positive role models for us, but sometimes they serve as more negative examples of how not to lead change. Either way, we can learn from watching them and taking note of both success and failures. In this paper, you will focus on the more positive role models. Sometimes good change leadership comes down to relatively few actions that are critical for gaining acceptance of the change and sustaining momentum.
For this paper, choose a leader-either political or managerial-that has been successful in leading change.
Write a cohesive and scholarly response based on your research that addresses the following:
• Provide an example of a person you believe is successful at leading and implementing change. What makes him/her successful?
• What do you think are the three most critical components of leading and implementing change?
• Be specific, and provide examples with references to the literature or your own experiences.
