How do we know what we know?

We’ve been assigned two readings, mine were by Jorge Borges and George Berkeley, I have attached the readings below. In a five page paper, point out the strengths and weakness of each. Compare them. Then briefly compare in which ways are the two assigned readings stronger or weaker than the readings by John Locke and Norman Malcolm (which I have also attached). The paper should be more about comparing and contrasting the two readings by Berkeley and Borges and their strengths and weaknesses including arguments on ideas of how we know what we know.

Our Professors side notes: You will be assigned two readings, other than those you selected for week five and week six. In a five to six page paper, point out the strengths and weakness of each. Compare them to the readings you discussed in weeks five and six. In which ways are the two assigned readings stronger or weaker than the readings you selected in weeks five and six. (Weeks five and six readings were Locke and Malcolm). Our essays must include examples from the readings.
