Project will be a naturalistic observation of a subject between 4 and 12 years old. After gaining access, you will watch and thoroughly record behaviors of the child.You will need to conduct your observation at least two times perferably in two different settings. You may interact with the subject to access level of development. In a 7- 10 page written presentation, you will compare and contrast your observations with theory related to those observations. The project must include a discussion of physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth and development. sooo i did observe a 9yr old child named David at two different locations. The first location was at a kids night live program at Spring Road Church. The second location was at a swim practice at the Sportsplex pool. I only interacted with the child at the kids night live for a minute before he got sidetracked and ran away. Since it was a few days until Halloween i asked him what scares him and he responded with, “Science. Science is hard. Hey it’s my turn!” and then left me to join the other kids playing with homemade slime. I mostly observed the child and from what i can tell he is just a regular normal kid who likes to interact with other kids. He is active and listens well to authorities. He was really into the worship part of the kids night live, was dancing and singing. I honestly don’t have anything else. The time i got to observe the child was really brief and i have no younger siblings or any experience with children, so can’t really make it up as i go. Please Help!!
