Each student is required to visit The J. Paul Getty Museum in order to view all paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculpture exhibitions that are currently on view.

The objective is to locate and identify any artworks by Chicana/o artists, as well as Modernist and Post-Modernist artworks.

The essay must be typed using either Helvetica or Times New Roman fonts, point size 12, double-spaced. Do not include any graphics, drawings, photographs, charts, or sketches. Use only white paper. Also, include how you experienced moving through physical space to arrive at a location to experience a visual moment upon viewing the art.

When describing the various works of art, include mention of coloration, placement, surrounding environment, and whether other people were present during your visit.

Also, should you notice that certain types of artworks might be excluded from being exhibited, provide your analysis as to why this might be the case in this instance.
