Students will be required to use a range of webinars, synchronous and asynchronous messaging and websites to consolidate and develop their competence in using written English language of business and management for academic purposes.

Independent study
Guided reading and language practice activities will consolidate students’ work done in the face to face workshops and in the online environment.
Assessment:
Students will complete a class test where they will demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of how to combine sources.

They will need to combine three sources to write a paragraph on a given topic. They will demonstrate their abilities to paraphrase, summaries and use citations.

Formative feedback based on a diagnosis of errors will be provided within two weeks to each individual, indicating areas of weakness and suggesting appropriate further study in relevant areas of academic writing.
The test results would indicate the learners’ strengths and identify the areas they will need to continue working on to successfully complete their written assignments.

Identify and assess how the key factors within the international business environment have impacted a particular industry (1000 words).

They will be required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the format and content of a successful assignment, including:

Appropriate use of an appropriate structure
Appropriate use of relevant grammar and vocabulary to express the key
Ideas they seek to communicate
Appropriate use of academic referencing, in the Harvard format.
