Examine my own cultural group and the values, norms and beliefs that were espoused in my family of origin (Dominican Republic) and the impact that the impact that the wider environment has had on the development of your ethnic and cultural identity. Describe my race (Hispanic), my class, my gender (female) and all the areas where I have or have not experience privilege. Elaborate on the ways in which economic, social and political factors affected your cultural group’s definition of itself. Examine how your family of origin incorporated their values, norms and beliefs into your family. And examine the differences between their perspective and your own evolved perspective.
