Analysis of organizational goals based on managerial prospective

Analyze a real-life organization. You must interview at least two people (at least one manager and at least one non-managerial employee) and you will need to obtain information about the organization’s goals (e.g., its mission statement, vision statement, value statements, etc.). In your paper, you will compare the "intended organization" to the "actual organization" and offer suggestions as to how the managers can close the gap between the intended and actual organization.

Your analysis should be two full pages in length. The analysis includes three sections. The first page contains the first two sections. The second page contains the third section.

Section 1. Briefly summarize the "intended organization" (i.e., the organization that the managers are hoping for). Your interview with the manager should help you write this section. Documents such as the mission statement, vision statement, and value statements can also offer a great deal of insight into the intended organization. Any documents that you obtain (or summaries of the documents) may be included in an optional appendix that does not count toward the two-page guideline.

Section 2. Briefly summarize how the "actual organization" (i.e., what the organization is actually like) is different from the “intended organization.” Your interview with the non-managerial employee should be particularly useful in writing this section.

Section 3. Use course material (theories, concepts, etc.) to offer suggestions as to how managers might close the gap between the intended and actual organization. In this section, be sure to use and cite course material (theories, concepts, etc.) to guide your writing (the more the better). I expect you to show me that you have read, understood, and are able to appeal to a variety of concepts and theories covered in this course.
