Discussion 1: Action Research

Many of you may want to implement an Action Research (AR) project for your doctoral research. We want to return to the issue of AR to review the idea from your first course, Psyd720 the Scholar-Practitioner Model. For this discussion, take the action research cycle implemented by Argyropoulos and Thymakis and try to line it up with the steps we have discussed in the Scholar-Practitioner Model (Professional practice problem->Theories/Principles from Psychology->Translation-> Application/Dissemination->Evaluation->Advancement of Practice). Share your thoughts on how the two line up and propose how you might implement an AR project in your own discipline.
