These guidelines are provided to you to help you think through the questions you need to answer for each case study in the final project. Your responses should be formatted as a paper; you may use the provided Final Project Template to help you with the structure and organization of your paper. Remember that all of your responses must follow the criteria described in the Final Project Document.
Case Study One
Use these guidelines to help you write the first section of your final project (Case Study One). You may use each heading as a starter sentence and then discuss the legal issues presented in the fact pattern, using the following terms. Be sure to explain and elaborate how each term applies to the story. Be sure to incorporate the facts of the case into your explanation and analysis.
A. The appropriate court for this lawsuit depends upon several factors. Three important considerations include the following:
a. Personal jurisdiction. Define personal jurisdiction and explain how it applies to the facts of this case.
b. Subject matter jurisdiction. Define subject matter jurisdiction and explain how it applies to the facts of this case.
c. Minimum contacts. Define minimum contacts and explain how it applies to the facts of case.
B. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) may be an option to resolve this dispute.

Case Study Two
Use these guidelines to help you write the second section of your final project (Case Study Two). You may use each heading as a starter sentence and then discuss the legal issues presented in the case study using the following guide, if you choose. Be sure to explain and elaborate on how each term applies to the story. Be sure to incorporate the facts of the case into your explanation and analysis.
A. Various elements must be present to prove that a valid contract exists between Sam and the chain store.
