Creating a Program Mission and Outcomes

Once a needs assessment is completed and leadership approves the development of the program, nurse educators continue creating the plan. Research how to create a curriculum map. Create a feasibility report that you would consider submitting to the leadership of your organization and include the following: Conduct a needs assessment, taking into consideration your organization\’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. Using your philosophy and educational framework, develop: A proposal on the type of program you plan to create. A program mission statement. Programmatic learning outcomes that align to standards and the philosophy of the nursing education department or unit. A draft curriculum map, outlining the courses for which you are forecasting.
