Movie on developement

1. Watch a movie/film on one developmental topic (it can be any concept in the text or power points that we covered in class) within the chapters of Adolescence to Middle Adulthood or specifically from Chapters 11-16.
Examples: If you were interested in mental health concepts that we covered you might want to watch A Beautiful Mind. If you were interested in eating disorders, you may choose to watch a film about anorexia. The decision of what movie you select is entirely up to you, so long as it specifically relates to a topic covered in one of the aforementioned chapters.
2. Type a one-page review of the film within the context of the information that has been presented to you so far (textbook, class notes, other academic sources, etc.). Title this document;
Movie Evaluation: Name of Movie here,
then your name and date in subheadings.
Movie Evaluation Objective: First, briefly outline the point or theme of the film, then provide a short synopsis of the film, then briefly discuss the films strengths & weaknesses in terms of psychological and developmental accuracy.
3. Visit the APA.org about the overall topic you chose. Select and read one article on the site about the topic.
Example: If you chose the movie Concussion for head injuries in adulthood as your topic for your movie evaluation then you would search for an article about concussions on APA.org.
4. Print the APA.org article out and attach it to the back of your Movie Evaluation. Write two paragraphs (no more than 14 sentences total) about your thoughts on the topic after reading the information and watching the film.

5. Go to YouTube and find/watch one appropriate video on the topic (look for credible source postings, such as Kahn academy or APA or University affiliated video segments) post the URL link at the bottom of your Movie Evaluation paper – (the URL link must work for you to get the full points for this section!)
