Order Description
1. The client is a 24 year old, Aboriginal woman, who has recently moved to Perth from a regional town with her husband and three young children.
2. The client birthed her baby vaginally but experienced a small perineal tear which required suturing

3. During standard vaginal and rectal swabs at 36 weeks, the client tested positive for Group B Streptococcus (GBS). Routine intravenous (IV) antibiotics were not administered during birthing due to her rapid labour. The baby was born within 20 minutes of arriving at the hospital following a spontaneous labour.
4. During the visit, the client advised she was sharing her bed with her new born baby to enable restful sleep.
