Present the chosen situation as an overview
• Problem – Employee morale was low and the turnover rate has been worrisome over the past four months and exit interviews did not yield any significant information. In addition to low, employee morale, employee sickness time has increased, worker engagement is low, and the quality of work is deteriorating. The lack of employee morale resulted in an increase number of complaints from the administration.
• Purpose- the purpose of the study is aimed to explore the reasons behind low employee morale.
• Research Question- the study aims to ascertain the answers to the following questions
1. Whether working conditions within the organization are influencing the employee motivation adversely?
2. What are the perceptions of the workers regarding work conditions, shift hours, quality of training, and level of compensation, fair treatment, internal company communications and job security in the organization?
3. Are the employees satisfied from the organizational human resource policies on the above- mentioned accounts?
As an overview summary, the questions can be summed up as how the employee perceives his or her organizational climate.
• Assignment- The survey evaluation is implemented to determine whether there are any gaps in the perceptions and expectations of the workers, regarding the various components of organizational climate.Namely, working conditions, shift hours, quality of training, level compensation, fair treatment, internal company communications, and job security. If the answers to any of these questions are yes, then in what cases do these gaps need a managerial intervention?
• Hypothesis- in order for BIMS to determine the underlying cause for low employee morale a set of hypothesis was made.
There is a direct impact (positive as well as negative) between the employee morale and his or her perception of the overall organizational climate.
The motivation of the employee has a direct correlation with employee productivity within the organization.
There is a direct impact (positive and negative) between the employee perception and the organizations turnover rate.
