1) In the Video Lecture, you learned that Street Style is nothing new, but what do you personally think ultimately drives a person to use clothing to distinguish themselves from mainstream style? Is it a means of ‘standing out’? Or do you think it is a means of ‘fitting in’, and wanting to identify with a particular group (even if that ‘group’ is a group of ‘outsiders’?).

2) Turning to the additional viewing and reading, please identify and discuss what you personally feel were the biggest differences (in both fashion and intend) between The Zoot Suiters and Les Zazous.

3) Thinking about the long article about the history of gangs, how would you personally describe the evolution of street gangs?
4) You were asked to choose one street gang discussed in the article and research and describe their ‘gang clothing’ (gang colors, etc) to share here.
