Superflat Art

Description

In this project, you are to simulate 3 interviews. Pretend that you are a grad student who are interested to be an art dealer in the future. In addition, you happened
to know 3 family friends who each individually owns a work of Takashi Murakami’s and you decided to interview each one of them about the art pieces. You would like to
know how they value the art. You are to create questions that are designed for each specific artwork and then answer the question that you created as the owners of the
pieces. Do a Q&A format interview like the ones in magazine articles.
Here is a possible question: What’s the reason behind paying the difference between Murakami’s artworks and a colored manga piece priced around 10 bucks?
I would like to know why are they willing to pay a high art price for the cartoonist’s work. I would like to find out the true value and meaning of it. Talk about the
content, medium, and other values. For example, talk about the difference between a traditional painting and a lithograph. Each interview should include questions that
are specifically designed for the particular pieces. You will need 2 pages of content for each interview. The numbers of question and the length of answers don’t
matter as long as they all add up to 2 pages for each. Be creative. Ask the most interesting questions and response with the most sophisticated answers. The followings
are the 3 works owned by 3 different family friends of yours.Good luck!http://www.phillips.com/detail/TAKASHI-MURAKAMI/NY000207/264?fromSearch=takashi
