Topic: Addition and Revision for the findings chapter

 
I have recieved the following feedback from my supervisor:

Hello
Thank you for submitting chapter vii and an example transcript. There is some interesting material here and overall it is well written and describes the data findings clearly. I do however think you need to consider the following:-

How does the presentation of your findings reflect grounded theory – which the aim of is to produce an explanation for what is happening in the form of a theory that is grounded in the data.

It is useful to link all chapters one with another, with a clear link at the beginning of each chapter. We can discuss this further in the New year.

What is the original contribution here required of a PhD?

Try to move from description to analysis to create abstract terms to reflect findings.

Read around grounded theory methodology and link structure to presentation of findings. What is your core category and substantive categories? Or is this coming later?

All statements need to be supported with quotes from the data to assure the reader that the findings are grounded in the voice of participants.

I would not suggest putting transcripts in appendices.
