create a visual aid, can you use charts, graphs, diagram, maps, tables, photographs.
The Key need to be visual construct and need to use this sources for the visual aid. Copy and paste don’t work, I did it and the professor sent back to me.
This the sources will be use:
Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. (2012). Childhood Overweight and Obesity. Retrieved from http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/childhood/index.htm
Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. (2012). Overweight and Obesity, Health Consequences. Retrieved from http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/consequences.htm
This task has two different parts.
So the first pages is the visual aid a the second page is the visual aid rationale: here are the instruction and example for it,
Visual Aid Script
Your visual aid script will help you integrate your visual aid into your presentation smoothly. The script should be a paragraph that describes your visual aid. Here is a list of components the visual aid script needs to have:
A one-sentence introduction explaining what the visual represents and why it is relevant
Audiences like smooth transitions, and they like to be told exactly why they are being shown a visual. So be sure that your visual aid script introduces the visual aid in a way that explains why it is relevant to your presentation.
The source of your data with an APA-formatted citation
Your audience members will want to know where the information came from so that they can judge whether it is reliable or not. You will need to cite the source verbally, providing the most important information (the author and date) in your presentation. You will also need an APA-formatted in-text citation in the visual aid script paragraph and a references list citation on your reference page.
A summary of the data and a discussion of the most important points
The visual aid will most likely present evidence for a major point(s) of your presentation. In the visual aid script, you mention the gist of the visual aid. What is the main thing your audience needs to know about the data? Are there any numbers or pieces of information that are more important than others?
A transition from talking about your visual aid to talking about what it means for your presentation
Your conclusion should tell the audience why the information matters.
Example
If you are providing evidence that shows how the adoption of broadband Internet service has increased in traditionally unwired households over the past ten years, you might introduce your visual aid in this way:
1
Visual Aid Script
There is ample evidence that broadband adoption is increasing quickly across many populations. John B. Horrigan, associate director of the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, provides us some interesting data, which I have converted into a bar graph. My visual aid shows the change in usage rates for several demographic groups between May, 2008 and April, 2009. As you can see, Horrigan (2009) documents that there were great increases in the use of broadband in the demographic groups of senior citizens, low-income Americans, high-school graduates, older baby boomers, and rural Americans. It’s particularly interesting that senior citizens are on this list–their use increased from 19% in 2008 to 30% in 2009. Though we think of senior citizens as being afraid of new technology, these numbers show that our parents and grandparents are not afraid anymore (Horrigan, 2009).
Now, the next part of my presentation will explain what caused some of these changes in the number of senior citizens online.

Visual Aid Rationale
You will also need to submit an image of your visual aid and write a visual aid rationale that is different from your visual aid script. Your visual aid rationale should provide a narrative about your visual aid. You will want to explain why you chose to present the information in visual form, and explain how you will effectively use your visual aid in your presentation. You should also discuss how you created the visual aid. Finally, you should address how your visual aid supports your thesis statement and main points within the context of the presentation.
For example, you might explain why you used a bar chart rather than a pie chart. You should also explain what you did to highlight the most important information that you want the visual aid to convey. How did you choose the title for the visual aid? What software did you use to make the visual aid? How will this help demonstrate a key point in your presentation?
Remember that your visual aid rationale will need to include proper APA-formatted citations for the information you included.

comparison of fossil fuels used in organic and conventional milk production
Comparison of Fossil Fuels Used in Organic and Conventional Milk Production
Organic farm systems studied in Sweden and Denmark used 29 – 35 percent less fossil fuels per liter of milk produced than conventional farm systems studied in the U.S. (Pimentel, 2006).
[In the graphic above, the data in the following table is represented as a bar graph.] CountryProduction Method

Conventional 2000 kcal/L
Sweden
Organic 1400 kcal/L
Denmark
Organic 1300 kcal/L
Input-substitution method (Horizon Organics method) won’t make organic farming sustainable!
You will need to submit, along with your visual aid, a visual aid script and a visual aid rationale.
•The visual aid script is a written script of what you might say during your presentation as you work with your visual aid. You do not have to use this script during your presentation, but it is important that you have plan for incorporating the visual aid into your presentation smoothly rather than just pointing at it and hoping your audience understands what is important.
•In your rationale, you should explain why you chose the information you did for your visual aid, how you created the visual aid, and how the visual aid supports your thesis and main points. You should cite the sources that provided information used in the visual aid.

Visual Aid Script
This presentation will be about the effects of organic ideals on sustainable farming. In this chart by David Pimentel (2006), you can see a comparison of three farm systems and the efficiency of their fossil fuel use. The chart shows you how much fossil fuels were used per liter of milk in Sweden, Denmark, and the United States. The United States used a conventional rather than organic method to get milk. Conventional methods ship food from all over the country to the dairy farm, and they use unsustainable methods to keep cows producing milk. The organic method uses pasture to feed cows instead of corn feed. This chart shows that the organic methods of dairy production used by two farms systems in Sweden and Denmark use about 1500 Kcal/L of fossil fuels, compared to conventional methods in the U.S. that use 2000 kcal/L. The chart shows a 30% reduction in the use of fossil fuels in organic systems. Why is this interesting? Horizon—the company that controls over 70% of our nation’s organic milk—uses organic methods, right? Wrong—they use the input-substitution method to create milk. They don’t use pesticides or hormones, but they do have feedlots and use other unsustainable methods. Even if large organic companies produce food that is healthier for people, the environmental impact is often the same as that of conventional farms (Pimentel, 2006).

Visual Aid Rationale
When I thought about what would be most confusing in my presentation, I realized that the phrase "input-substitution method" might be scary. The input-substitution method is used by a lot of organic mega-producers. Essentially, these corporate farms do the bare minimum to get the organic label, but their fuel efficiency is similar to that of conventional methods. Therefore, I decided to make a chart that shows why organic practices of milk production are more fuel efficient than conventional practices. This would support my point that mega-producers need not use the input-substitution method. Instead, they need to use organic methods of creating food. Pimentel (2006) wrote that organic farm systems studied in Sweden and Denmark used 29% to 35% less fossil fuel per liter of milk produced than conventional farm systems studied in the United States. Since that was the main point of the bars on the chart, I wrote that in a highlight box on the side of the chart.
I chose a bar chart rather than another kind of visual because I thought the bars made the difference between the systems stand out more. I was careful to label my axes of the chart: I wrote kcal/L at the top of the chart so that my audience could see my units clearly. I gave the visual aid a title, "Comparison of Fossil Fuels used in Organic and Conventional Milk Production." I wanted to emphasize the importance of this data to my argument, so I made another label at the bottom that says: "Input-substitution method (Horizon Organics method) won’t make organic farming sustainable!" Finally, I chose dark colors for the bar and a very light color for the highlight box because I knew that I would be printing the visual aid in black and white, and I didn’t want the text to blend in with the box.
This reference goes in your reference list from the visual aid rationale and the visual aid script.

Outline Lut Task 1
I. Introduction
America seems to have earned a perception of being an obese nation. However, that only remains to be what it is; a perception. At the end of it all, health issues are considered as personal issues. It only depends with an individual’s perception and understanding of things. America seems only to provide an enabling environment for obesity.
Overall Topic: Advertising, Media, and the Image of American Women. And two factors have been noting and contributing to the obesity problem in America; the increasing consumption of fast food and lack of guidance to the children and lack of guidance to the children and adolescents.
Thesis statement: “Research suggests that current contributing factors to obesity in America include the increased consumption of fast food and poor parenting for children and adolescents”.
Preview of main points
i. Increased consumption of fast food; the marketing strategies shows to the audience adverts with yummy pictures. Such as biggest size of burgers, hot crispy French fries, that when the audience see it, make them the sensation, I have to eat it.
ii. Poor parenting for children and adolescents; the parent’s lack of information on healthy snacks and meals.
II. Main point #1: The increased consumption of fast food in America is a contributing factor to the obesity problem. The fast food industry in America is growing fast. It is also growing more effective in its marketing strategies; a fact that has seen most TV shows in American filled with adverts of yummy yet unhealthy fast food; for example, burgers.
The industry has also taken their adverts to the internet where most Americans visit on a daily basis and get to learn about the existence of different fast foods. (Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, 2012).
A recent research conducted by the Pew Research Center (2013) indicated that the number of fast food restaurants in America has grown to 160,000. 50,000,000 Americans reported to be served with fast food on a daily basis (Statistic Brain, 2013). The same research also revealed that the fast food industry records revenue of $110 billion every year. This is indicative of the growing fast food industry in America.
A study by the Nation Health and Nutrition revealed that two of every three Americans are overweight. (Schlooser, 2012).
III. Main point #2: Poor parenting and lack of guidance to the children and adolescents. It was established that part of the obesity from overweight children and adolescents as they grow into adults. This problem was impliedly related to the lack of guidance to children by their parents on healthy dieting habits. (National Health and Nutrition Examination, 2009-2010).
Hunter and Patel (2013) adopt the report issued by Pediatrics (2004) on the effects of fast food consumption on energy intake and diet quality among children. Pediatrics found that 1720 out of 6212 children, consume fast food on a typical day.
A study conducted by CDC (2012) revealed that there exist a high chance of overweight children and adolescents becoming obese as they grow into adults. In the same study, it was found that 80% of overweight children between ages of 10 and 15 years became obese at around 25 years.
IV. Conclusion
A. Restatement of thesis: Research suggests that the current contributing factors to obesity in America include the increased consumption of fast food and poor parenting for children and adolescents.
B. Summary of main points
iii. Increased consumption of fast food; the marketing strategies shows to the audience adverts with yummy pictures. Such as biggest size of burgers, hot crispy French fries, that when the audience see it, make them the sensation, I have to eat it.
iv. Poor parenting for children and adolescents; the parent’s lack of information on healthy snacks and meals.
C. Closing comments
Being overweight is risky, at each individual to monitor their dieting habits in order to avoid exposing themselves to health risks. This paper intended to reduce the consume of fast food and the need to educate parents, children and adolescents about proper healthy diet skills. The audience’shealth provider can provide examples of healthy meals or use the food pyramid guide.
V. Audience questions and answers
What cause people overweight?
People consume in their daily bases foods that contain a high amount of sodium, calories, sugar, and lack in their physical activities. Foods us sodas, ice cream, can foods, and fast food restaurants. They spend a lot hours in front of the T.V. and computers doing work, schooling homework, playing videos games& boards games as: chess, solitaire, scrabble, etc. People use their car as the main transportation, either if they need to go two or three blocks from one place to another.
Some neighborhoods don’t have sidewalks, park area where; families can spend 30 minutes a day walking in the trails areas.
Health problems: as thyroid, stressed, stop smoking, lack of sleep, medicines and genes. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. ( 2011).
How people can prevent to be overweight?
To prevent to be obesity: people need to consume more fresh vegetables and fruits. Drink water instead sodas, and limit the T.V., and computers time.
People need to keep track on their weight, and how much calories consumed daily. Eat the portion foods and snacks size that their body need.
Another idea, people attend any bicycling and walking public event. They can enjoy the gym or go to the community club.
What is the obesity statistics in USA?
The National health and nutrition data said more than 2 in 3 adults are overweight (2010).
White adults 66.7 percent are obesity.
African American 49.5 percent considered being overweight.
Hispanics 39.1 percent.
Asian Americans 11.6 percent.
American Indians and Alaska Natives 39.9 percent.
Native Hawaiians or other Pacific Islanders 43.5 percent
