Description Masters Level Psychology Class. The class is Multicultural. Assignment is to read the book ‘The Imperial Cruise’ and write a 10 page report. Instructor insists that there be only 2 sections. 5 pages of content and 5 pages of reaction. He is a STICKLER Here is the assignment from the syllabus Book Report Format (Please read Carefully) Your book report will be from one of the books previously identified for you. Please see email regarding your choices. Please use only one side of the paper!! At the top of the page please identify the book in accordance with APA format. For example: Summertime, T.C. (2023). Nice day in the summer. Boston: Houghton Mifflin. CONTENT. Please label this section CONTENT. The first 5 pages should be devoted to reporting what the book discussed or explained. Highlighting some of the important chapters or sections is important. Some students opt to review each chapter. That is not required but you should convince the reader (me) from what you write that you have read the book. Please title this section, CONTENT. REACTION. Please label this section REACTION. The second 5 pages should be devoted to your reaction to what you read. This is your chance to agree or disagree with the author, wonder why the writer didn’t explore an important related issue, question the research, hypothesize about how you might address certain issues, report on your affect as you read the material and reflected on the content, consider discussions you may have had with others about the book, compare what other authors are saying about the same topics, etc. This section is all about you. Please title this section, REACTION. The total length of the Book Report should be no more than 10 pages excluding references. Please do use references to support your thinking, support the author or contradict what has been written, demonstrate that you have been able to integrate readings from several different sources. Again, a reference page is not included in the total of 10 pages for the book report. Use as many references as you think appropriate. The Book Report SHOULD be double spaced per APA format. Again, use only one side of the paper.
