Hey Woogie tackles the philosophy that patience and balance are what differentiates boys from men. ___________ has learned the difference through his own experiences. As children we rush everything and we can not wait to become “adults”. Hey Woogie asks why? We have yet to understand the basics of life and what it truly means to live. We have not grasped the concept of growth and development nor the appreciation of life’s stages. Now once we understand the above concept then we learn the value of patience realizing that if I work hard enough today in my youth that my future may hold less hardship.
So when does the human mind fully grasp the theory of what it means to have patience? I don’t know! I do know that it most certainly does not come with a certain age. In America they say a person at the age of 18 is an adult and are to take full responsibility for their actions. That seems strange when the legal age for consuming alcohol is 21 years old and you can not rent an automobile without incurring exuberant fees until you are 25 years old yet you can get your driver’s license at 16 years old. So how is 18 the magic number where I become this responsible adults and magically have the knowledge to grasp everything the world has in store for me but yet I am still treated as a child in so many other arenas and I am told that I am not ready for all that life has to offer? That is because I truly have not experienced enough to be that responsible, but patience is the key to understanding life, so time and circumstance will teach us patience.
Now let me touch on balance. Patience and balance flow together naturally. For one to understand patience they must have balance. It is incumbent upon us to balance our emotions as well as our time. If we find balance then we will not act on impulse. Acting on impulse can lead to disastrous outcomes.
A man who practices patience and balance is a force to be reckoned with. He will move with precision, give thought to every move he makes and calculate the possible outcome. Therefore, he is now a critical thinker by incorporating patience and balance into his life.
