• In addition to entering the case name or citation into Google, the cases are also found on the Supreme Court website (www.supremecourt.gov).
• Write an issue statement for the TWO cases you select.
• Do not write more than two issue statements.
• Use your own words.
Issue statements are framed as YES/NO questions. Meaning that the issue can be answered with a “yes” or a “no”. Even though in the holding there is much discussion about the issue and why the court ruled as it did, the statement can be answered with a “yes” or a “no”.
